Terrault Deck Rehab

Wood decks all share the same fate: eventually the boards start to fade, splinter, rot, or demand more weekend attention than anyone wants to give. What starts as a great outdoor space slowly turns into a chore list.

And as Deputy Sheriff Fife would say… we nipped that in the bud.

From a technical standpoint, the structure of the deck was still solid, so we stripped everything down to the framing — every board, every rail, every baluster. Once the old material was cleared, we rebuilt the entire surface using Trex composite decking and a matching Trex railing system. This upgrade eliminates the constant cycle of sanding, staining, sealing, and replacing boards. It also provides better long‑term durability, slip resistance, and color stability.

The fun part? Watching the transformation happen so quickly. The homeowners went from “Ugh, the deck again…” to “We can actually enjoy this space now.” Instead of seeing their deck as a maintenance headache, they now have a clean, modern, low‑maintenance outdoor area that looks great year‑round and adds real value to the home.

A smarter material, a cleaner look, and a whole lot less upkeep — that’s a win every way you look at it.
